Riley is both the newest and youngest member of the team, joining late in 2019 after spending the first 12 months of his running career under the tutelage of John Clancy. The 19-year-old has plenty of speed and is already showing a few of the older guys in the squad who's going to take charge in the shorter track sessions. Riles qualified for his first Queensland team early in 2020, but alas, the coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of the national championships and ensured he would have to wait a little longer to wear the maroon colours for the first time.
